CCG Spotlight | July 2026 (Part 3)

It's always encouraging to see our members putting their learning into practice. Here are a few highlights from this week:

🎸 Melanie has been performing Caazapá by Agustín Barrios in our masterclasses over the past couple of months. By consistently playing along with the interactive MuseScore version, she has made tremendous progress in both her rhythmic precision and musical interpretation.

🎼 Rob composed a beautiful Lament, which you can explore and play yourself using the interactive score below.

📝 Julie completed a detailed analysis of Fernando Sor's Op. 60 No. 9, identifying its form, phrase structure, and harmonic language—an excellent example of developing a deeper understanding of the music we perform.

✍️ Fred composed his own example based on the Prinner, putting partimento principles into practice through original composition. This follows on from Paula’s notes on Partimento from last week’s spotlight.
