Live Events

CCG has a range of live events that occur every week.

From masterclasses, open mics, composing workshops and more. These are your best opportunity for rapid growth, where things will click and you will make leaps of progress that can’t be made any other way (especially by just passively consuming videos)..

Recordings of all sessions are provided and stored for easy access.

You can also take each program at your own pace through self study.

  • Foundations

    Grades 1-4 theory

    Learn the basics of harmony, theory, analysis and composition. Play practical exercises and apply what you learn through completing short tasks each week. You can do this with the live workshops or at your own pace.

  • Advanced

    Grades 5-8 theory

    This program is project based, with a different creative focus each month (improvisation, arranging, ensemble writing etc..) We begin with a live group analysis and then apply what we learn to the task at hand.

  • Masterclass

    Any Level

    CCG Masterclass is a year long program which includes a different technical focus & set piece for each month of the year. As you study, take advantage of the 2/wk live masterclasses to perform & receive feedback.

  • Method Book Walkthrough

    Beginner

    Be guided through the guitar’s most influential method books. Learn topics like technique, analysis, fretboard positions, ornaments, rhythm reading and more. 2024 will be focusing on the Arenas method, based on Tarrega’s school.

  • Open Mics

    Any Level

    Play for other members in a friendly and relaxed environment.

CCG Member Concerts

CCG holds online concerts three times each year. This gives members the opportunity to showcase their hard work and talent, plus provides a motivating goal to work towards.
