Compositions and Arrangements

Christian themes music performed, composed and arranged by Daniel and his students.

Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy.For the word of the Lord is right, And all His work is done in truth.

—- Psalm 33:3-4

Chaccone BWV 1004 by J.S. Bach

"The Chaconne is one of the most wonderful, incomprehensible pieces of music. On a single staff, for a small instrument, the man writes a whole world of the deepest thoughts and the most powerful feelings. If I were to imagine how I might have made, conceived the piece, I know for certain that the overwhelming excitement and awe would have driven me mad." --- Brahms

O Thou Most High by Daniel Nistico

While reading through Psalm 9 one morning, a melody formed in my mind - the tune you hear at the opening of the piece. Psalm 9, King James Version (KJV) I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

People Need the Lord (arr. Richard Verdugo)

A moving and heartfelt song, composed by Phill McHugh and Greg Nelson.

“People need the Lord, people need the Lord At the end of broken dreams, He's the open door People need the Lord, people need the Lord When will we realize people need the Lord?”

Last Flight Out by Paul Horn

A new composition in a sweet contemporary style. Paul based this work on 1 Cor. 15:50-57; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; Rev. 21:1-5

All Creatures of Our God and King (arr. Daniel Nistico)

I adapted this hymn for guitar, taking the two main themes and developing them on the instrument, mostly with arpeggio effects. I love the spirit of this hymn, which to me evokes praise to the Lord through musical language. Music can do this through the use of intervals, phrase structure, rhythm, harmonies and more.

Guitar Passion: Music from Spain and Latin America

This concert helped raised funds to send a new classical guitar from Australia to Tanzania. My student Salum loves the Lord and has been diligently practicing. But there’s no access to new classical guitars in Africa, so Salum has been playing a makeshift guitar.
