An Epic Composition Challenge: Melovember

Each November on CCG, members are challenged to compose a short melody each day of the month based on a prompt. Some of the prompts are musically based, like “major”, “modal”, etc. while others are more abstract like “insects”, “mountains”, etc.

This video is a compilation of various members playing some of their excerpts. I hope you appreciate the beautiful variety and diversity. Some give explanations of their process, while others let the music speak for itself. Please enjoy! Huge thanks to Trisha for putting the video together and to all the members who recorded their excerpts!!
