Modulate to Any Key: Gateway Chords

This is an excerpt from CCG’s Foundations program, where we cover the basics of harmony step by step. While modulating can seem like a complex topic, this concept makes it simple. Just use the dominant chord of the new key you want to move to!

These particular exercises are from a method book by Felix Horetzky, who was a student of Mauro Giuliani. It contains studies and exercises for modulation. This exercise shows you in a practical and quick way how to modulate from C major to other keys: A minor, F Major, G Major, D Minor and E Minor.
