Compose a Mazurka in 10 minutes - is it really possible?

Here’s the Secret to Composing Fast

Many guitarists struggle to string together their ideas into a logical whole. Having a plan helps you pour all your creative ideas out fast, but also with tight structure.

You can create a plan by studying a piece and making observations, such as:

• How many sections are there?

• What keys are being used?

• How long are the phrases?

• What chords are being used?

Once you’ve noted these down, then you can form your canvas. It's blank, but has those observations you made written down as guidelines for you to follow.

Here is the Mazurka canvas, which was based on Tarrega’s ‘Adelita’.

Feel free to use this canvas and create your own beautiful Mazurka.
